Fatal Traffic Accident at 13100 Northwest Freeway June 2, 2008 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 13100 block of the Northwest Freeway (US Highway 290) about 2:15 a.m. on Saturday (May 31). The identities of the two deceased males are pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant D.S. Runyan and Officer A. Alaniz reported: Witnesses reported that a Ford van was traveling north on the Northwest Freeway at about 90 miles per hour and weaving all over the freeway. The van struck an inside retaining wall, flipped over and then caught fire. Both males were pronounced dead at the scene. |
