Man Found Dead at 5904 Westpark

February 25, 2008 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man found at 5904 Westpark about 5:45 a.m. on Saturday (Feb. 23).

The male victim appeared to be in his 30s and had several superficial wounds to his body.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers J. Selvera and D. Vasquez reported:

An employee of the Republic Waste Southwest Transfer Facility at 5904 Westpark found the victim's body as he was excavating the trash. An ambulance was called to the scene and paramedics pronounced the victim dead.

Investigators will await an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office to help determine the man's identity and cause of death.
