Update On Capital Murder Investigation at 3400 Ocee #1813 February 5, 2008 - Charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of a pregnant female at 3400 Ocee #1813 about 3 a.m. on Sunday (Feb 3). The first suspect, Biondi Vernard Rolle (b/m, DOB: 11/24/86), is charged with capital murder in the 339th State District Court. The second suspect, Cory James Wisnoski (w/m, DOB: 4-24-87), is charged with burglary of a habitation in the same court. A third male suspect, a juvenile, 16, remains at large. The victim, Yvonne Sanchez, 21, was seven months pregnant. She sustained at least two gunshot wounds to her body and was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Baby Sanchez was delivered at the hospital, but lived only 10 minutes. Homicide Division Sergeant P. Motard and Senior Police Officer A. Brown reported: Ms. Sanchez, her husband, and their young twins were asleep in their apartment when Rolle kicked open the front door. Rolle and Wisnoski entered the back bedroom and Rolle shot into the bed where Sanchez and her husband were sleeping. The victim’s husband began screaming and attempted to chase Rolle, but was unable to catch or follow Rolle away from the apartment. Rolle, Wisnoski and the juvenile suspect fled the scene on foot. An investigation determined there had been an existing feud between Ms. Sanchez, and her husband and Rolle, their upstairs neighbor. Witnesses stated Sanchez and her husband loaned electrical power to Rolle during a period of time when his electricity was turned off. Some time later, Sanchez had her power turned off and Rolle returned the favor. When the power bills came due, there was a hostile disagreement, which was never settled, over how much money was owed among the two families. Further investigation and witness statements identified Rolle and Wisnoski as suspects in this crime and both were arrested and charged. Anyone with information regarding the wanted juvenile suspect is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
