Investigation Into Baby's Death at 4800 Lamonte

December 22, 2008 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results on a baby found unresponsive at 4800 Lamonte about 11:30 a.m. on Saturday (Dec. 20).

The baby, Joshua G. Garcia, six months old, was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant G. Gonzales and Officer J. Sosa reported:

Homicide investigators were called to the hospital regarding the death of a baby and learned the child was transported from an apartment complex at 4800 Lamonte.

There were no visible signs of trauma to the baby.  The investigation continues and is pending the medical examiner’s ruling on the child’s cause of death.
