Fatal Shooting at 11315 Fondren

December 18, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 11315 Fondren about 1:45 a.m. today.

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.  He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.C. Padilla and Senior Police Officer C.P. Abbondandolo reported:

The victim was in front of his apartment, drinking with a group of friends.  He left the group and went inside his apartment to sleep.  About one hour later, an unknown Hispanic male suspect kicked open the apartment front door and went inside.  The victim got out of his bedroom and was shot several times. 

At this time, it is unknown if robbery or burglary was a motive in the shooting.
