Suspect Wanted For Firing Shots at Officers at 3718 Robertson December 18, 2008 - Charges are pending against a suspect wanted for firing shots at two Houston police officers and then fleeing from them at 3718 Robertson about 3:55 p.m. on Wednesday (Dec. 17). Erick Castillo (H/m, DOB: 2-24-88) is facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The two officers Castillo shot at were not injured, nor did they discharge their weapons. HPD Homicide Division Sergeants O. Chandler and J. Rubio reported: The suspect had an altercation with individuals in his neighborhood and drove to a relative’s home at 3718 Robertson. While standing outside the home, the suspect saw a gray van approaching and then fired multiple shots at the vehicle. Two HPD officers were inside the van, an unmarked police vehicle. When the officers took cover, the suspect fled the scene. It is unknown at this time whether the suspect knew the two persons inside the van were police officers.
