Fatal Auto-Pedestrian Accident at 8900 Winkler December 15, 2008 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 8900 block of Winkler about 8:50 p.m. on Saturday (Dec. 13). The pedestrian, Manuel De Jesus Flores, 45, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Chambers and Officer J. Garcia reported: Mr. Flores was leaving a bar and attempted to cross the street in the 8900 block of Winkler when he was struck by a white Dodge pickup truck. The driver of the Dodge pickup was questioned and released at the scene. No charges have been filed at this time and the investigation is continuing. |
