Fatal Traffic Accident at 8802 Langdon December 10, 2008 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 8802 Langdon about 8:35 a.m. on Monday (Dec. 8). The deceased pedestrian, John C. Anderson, 82, of Houston, was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R.L. Gaines reported: Mr. Anderson was walking on a sidewalk as the driver of a 2008 gray Honda Pilot backed out of a private drive. The driver failed to yield the right of way to a pedestrian, knocking Anderson to the ground and causing him severe head injuries. Anderson died at the hospital later that day. The investigation is continuing. No charges have been filed at this time. JFC/VHS
