Suspects Sought in Fatal Shooting at 1 Goodson Drive

December 08, 2008 - Houston police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 1 Goodson Drive about 10:10 p.m. on Sunday (Dec. 7).

The suspects are described as two Hispanic males. The first is 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall, weighing 180 to 200 pounds, and clean-shaven with a dark complexion. He was also armed with a shotgun. The second suspect is 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, heavy set and about 26 years of age. He is light skinned and was wearing a white skullcap and a black sweater with a white zipper.

The victim, Juan Castillo Rosales, 35, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant P. V. Muñoz and Officer L. R. Leon reported:

Mr. Rosales and his wife drove up to their apartment and were exiting the vehicle when two male suspects approached them. The suspects then pulled Rosales and his wife from the vehicle and robbed them at gunpoint. One of the suspects, armed with a shotgun, then shot Rosales in the chest. Both suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction.
