Investigators Seek Sexual Assault Suspect's Identity August 29, 2008 - Houston police Sex Crimes Unit investigators are releasing a composite sketch of a suspect responsible for three sexual assaults that occurred in late July and early August. HPD Sex Crimes Unit investigators reported the suspect approached two of the three victims, who were on foot, and asked them if they needed a ride. Once the victims were inside the vehicle, the suspect threatened them with a box cutter before he would sexually assault them. A third victim was sexually assaulted after she agreed to have sex in exchange for money. Two of the sexual assaults occurred in remote areas near abandoned businesses.
The following are the dates and locations of the three incidents: 1) July 26 in the 7700 block of Fuqua St. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a medium to dark complexion, between 25 and 35 years of age about 5 feet 8 inches tall weighing about 180 pounds. He has a stocky build with short dark hair and is either clean-shaven or has a trimmed goatee. A composite sketch of the suspect is attached to this release. He was seen driving a large work van, possibly a 1990-95 Ford Econoline van, with a primer gray color. The van is equipped with front bucket seats and has no back seats and a metal cargo area with tools and top rack for a ladder.
