Fatal Shooting at 10910 Gulf Freeway August 25, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman at 10910 Gulf Freeway #526 about 1:40 a.m. on Sunday (August 24). The victim, 24, suffered a gunshot wound to her head and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Anthony and Senior Police Officer R.W. Chappell reported: The victim was on the balcony of her apartment talking on her cell phone when the suspect shot her. After the shooting, the suspect was seen going through the victim’s pockets. He took all of her belongings as well as her cell phone before fleeing the scene on foot. The suspect is described as a black male, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing between 165 and 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black long sleeve hoodie, blue jean shorts (below the knee) and black tennis shoes. He was armed with a pistol.
