Incident at 10214 Valley Wind Drive October 30, 2007 - Houston police are investigating the death of a woman at 10214 Valley Wind Drive on October 25, 2007 about 10:25 a.m. The victim is identified as Portia Hosea, 58, of 10214 Valley Wind Drive. She sustained extensive blunt force trauma and was found in an advanced state of decomposition. A person of interest, Ronny Howard Moore (b/m, DOB: 3-16-56), is wanted for questioning only at this time. He has not been seen for several weeks and he is currently wanted by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice on an outstanding warrant for violating his parole (warrant #02752407, dated 10-22-07, no bond). Miller reported: Constables were serving a forcible eviction at the listed address when they discovered Ms. Hosea’s body on a bed in an advanced state of decomposition. Officers found that there were no signs of forced entry into the home prior to them forcing entry. An autopsy performed by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office determined that Ms. Hosea sustained blunt force trauma, which caused her death. Ms. Hosea lived in this house with her boyfriend, Moore, since he was released from prison in 2006. Neighbors had not seen Ms. Hosea for several weeks and based on the condition of her body, it is believed that she had been dead for at least three weeks before she was found.
