2nd Update on Incident at 2100 La Branch November 24, 2007 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a man at 2100 La Branch about 7:25 a.m. on Saturday (Nov.10). The suspect, Martin Shelby Grubbs (b/m, DOB: 10-13-78), is charged with murder in the 263rd State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Terrance Uandra Watson, 33. He suffered stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Sergeants L.A. Flores and A. Carillo reported: Officers responded to a call of a natural death on La Branch and when they arrived, found Mr. Watson had been stabbed to death. Witnesses reported seeing Watson stumble and fall, where he was found, the night before. The suspect, at that time, was described only as a possible black male with a light complexion and a large afro hairstyle. A follow-up investigation and witness statements identified Grubbs as the suspect in this case.
