Incident at 8600 Iron Liege May 14, 2007 - Charges have been filed against a suspect in the fatal shooting of a juvenile male at 8600 Iron Liege about 5:15 p.m. on Sunday (May 13). Raymond Lee Shaw Sr. (b/m, DOB 12-24-48) is charged with murder in the 339th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of an 11-year-old boy who suffered a gunshot wound to the back and head. The boy’s identity is being withheld pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.H. Roberts and Officer L.K. Lovelace reported: The victim went to suspect Shaw’s residence to visit with Shaw’s 13-year-old son. Shaw arrived home and found the victim and several other juveniles inside and ordered them out. As the juveniles left, Shaw claims the victim pushed him and cursed him before leaving. Shaw retrieved a sawed-off .20-gauge shotgun and followed the victim down the street. He then fired one time, striking the victim in the back and head. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
