Traffic Incident at 5400 Selinsky
May 4, 2007 -A robbery suspect was critically injured in a one car traffic accident at 5400 Selinsky about 1:30 p.m. on Thursday (May 3).
The suspect, identified as Curtis Joseph Victoria (b/m, DOB 9/24/64), and his female passenger, who has not been identified, were transported to an area hospital. Victoria suffered life-threatening head injuries and is in critical condition. His passenger suffered only minor injuries.
HPD Robbery investigators were searching the 5600 block of Selinsky for suspects involved in a series of bank robberies when they spotted Victoria, one of the suspects, driving in the area. When a marked patrol unit attempted to stop Victoria, he headed westbound on Selinsky at a high rate of speed. The suspect lost control of his vehicle after striking a puddle of water and swerved across lanes striking the curb and two trees. Victoria and his passenger were both ejected from the vehicle.
The investigation is continuing.
