Incident at 218 West Rosamond
March 11, 2007 -- Houston police
are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 218 West Rosamond
on March 9, 2007 about 4:45 a.m.
The victim’s identity is pending notification
of next of kin. He sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was
transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced
dead on March 10th at 12:10 a.m.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T.R. Hernandez
and Officer X. Avila reported:
The victim was at a residence with the witness
(a female friend) and he was waiting on another friend to come
and pick him up. The witness heard the victim talking on the phone
giving someone directions to the house. About 4:45 a.m. a male
knocked on the door and asked for the victim. The witness told
the male suspect in which bedroom he could find the victim. The
suspect walked into the bedroom where the victim was located and
then a gunshot was heard. The suspect left the house and the witness
went to check on her friend, finding him shot in the head. The
witness told police that she did not know the suspect and she
did not hear any arguing take place before the shooting. No vehicle
was seeing leaving the location and the investigation is continuing.
