Incident at 7500 Bellaire Boulevard
March 8, 2007 -- Houston police
are investigating the shooting of two men at 7500 Bellaire Boulevard
about 3:55 p.m. on Wednesday (March 7).
The victim, Robert Davis, 57, of 6220 Alder #4127,
suffered a gunshot wound to the chin and was taken to Ben Taub
General Hospital. The suspect, Jordan Daniel Landry (b/m, DOB
9-12-83), suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head
and was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital. Both are expected
to survive their wounds and remain in the hospital.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Huynh and Officers
L.K. Lovelace and K. Carr reported:
Landry and Mr. Davis are security guards for
Sharpstown Mall and were involved in a verbal altercation in the
parking lot of the mall. Landry pulled a semiautomatic pistol
and shot Davis before fleeing in a black Isuzu Rodeo. Responding
officers saw Jordan in the Rodeo and stopped him to obtain more
information when Jordan shot himself while sitting in the vehicle.
At the time, officers did not know he was the suspect in the shooting.
The investigation is continuing.
