Second Update on Incident at 13502 Almeda Road June 25, 2007 - Investigators with the Houston Police Homicide Division have released a composite sketch of a suspect wanted in the capital murder of a local nightclub owner at 13502 Almeda Road on June 11, about 1:15 a.m. Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the wanted suspects. The first suspect is described as a left-handed white male, 26 to 27 years of age, 6 feet 2 inches to 6 feet 4 inches tall with a skinny build. He has blonde short wavy hair and a light mustache. He has a tattoo on the back of his neck and another on his left forearm, which extends from the crease of his elbow to his wrist on the underside of his arm. He wears an earring in his left ear and has large straight teeth with a pointed nose. He has a pointed chin with a cleft indention. The second suspect is described as a dark skinned black male, 20 to 25 years of age, 5 feet to 5 feet 2 inches tall with a muscular build. He has short curly hair and a very distinctive nose that looks “smashed in”. Both suspects fled the scene in a dark colored 4-door compact vehicle. The victim, Rosendo Perales Rios, 49, of 2132 Kilkenny, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he later died. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.W. Belk and Officers M.J. Miller and A. Brown reported: Mr. Rios attempted to defend a female employee as she was being robbed inside a taqueria stand located on the parking lot of his nightclub. He was shot as he exited the club through a side door. The second suspect robbed another victim in the parking lot before both suspects fled in a dark colored, four-door compact vehicle. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 dollars and Schepps Dairy will add $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of these suspects.
