Update on Incident at 2525 South Loop West June 13, 2007 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 2525 South Loop West (610 Loop East) on October 3, 2004. Timothy Hearne (b/m, DOB: 5-15-79), is charged with capital murder in the 337th State District Court. He was arrested at his residence in the 3200 block of Hunterwood in Missouri City without incident. The victim, Delearte Pittman, 29, of 1830 Seabreeze Court, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he later died. HPD Homicide Division Lieutenant L. Baimbridge, Sergeant N. Ruland, and Officer E. Schmidt reported: Mr. Pittman was in the parking lot of the Pappadeaux Restaurant, at 2525 South Loop West when he was approached by Hearne, who pointed a pistol at him and demanded money. Pittman ran and was shot near the front door of the restaurant by Hearne. Witnesses alerted an off-duty HPD officer working security at the restaurant. The officer rushed at Hearne and, after a brief struggle, knocked the gun out of the suspect’s hand. Hearne ran and then fled in a maroon four-door vehicle.
