Incident at 13502 Almeda Road June 11, 2007 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 13502 Almeda Road about 1:15 a.m. today (June 11). The victim, Resendo Rios, 49, of 2132 Kilkenny, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he later died. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Sosa and Officers B. Evans and J. Coffelt reported: Mr. Rios attempted to help one of his employees as she was being robbed inside a taqueria stand on the parking lot of his club when he was shot by an unknown suspect. A second suspect robbed another victim on the parking lot before both suspects fled in a dark colored, four-door compact vehicle. The first suspect is described only as a black male between 20 and 25 years old, 5 feet 2 inches to 5 feet 4 inches tall. He was wearing a black muscle shirt and blue jeans and had a tattoo across the back of his neck. The second suspect is described only as a white male, about 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He has blonde wavy hair and was wearing a white T-shirt and white shorts.
