Traffic Incident at 7500 North Main Street July 6, 2007 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 7500 North Main Street about 7:25 p.m. Thursday (July 5). The identities of both victims are being withheld pending an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office. HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeants R.A. Gonzalez and R Cumbess and Officers R. Kessler, A. Rodriguez, and J. Vega reported: Witnesses observed a maroon Geo Tracker traveling south on North Main Street at a high rate of speed. As the vehicle crossed the railroad tracks, the driver lost control, sideswiped another vehicle and slid into a utility pole. The driver of the Geo Tracker and one of his three passengers were pronounced dead at the scene. The two other passengers of the Geo Tracker were transported to Ben Taub General Hospital with various broken bones and internal injuries. They are expected to survive.
