Incident at 5711 Irvington Blvd

January 23, 2007 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man at 5711 Irvington Boulevard about 9:20 p.m. on Monday (January 22).

The victim suffered a stab wound and was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.T. Wyers and Officer B.W. Nabors reported:

HPD officers responded to an assault call at the Step In convenience store, after the store clerk found a man unconscious inside a truck in the parking lot. The victim was taken to the hospital by HFD paramedics.
