Traffic Incident at 2400 Tannehill

January 21, 2007 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 2400 block of Tannehill about 4:25 a.m. today (Jan. 21).

Names of the two deceased victims are being withheld pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant L.A. Washington and Officer D.S. Schlichter reported:

It appears a blue Honda Civic was traveling west on Tannehill when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the street and hit several objects in yards of four residences on Tannehill.

One person in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, while two others in the vehicle were transported to area hospitals. One of those died at the hospital and the other victim suffered apparent minor injuries.

The investigation is continuing.
