Update on Incident at 8200 South Gessner

January 1, 2007 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8200 South Gessner about 8:30 p.m. on Saturday (Dec.30).

The deceased victim is identified as Fremin Bedolla, 20, of 8801 South Braeswood. He was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead on December 31, 2006.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.K. Peters and Officer A.J. Palos reported:

Mr. Bedolla and several friends were traveling southbound in the 8200 block of South Gessner when they had some type of altercation with a Hispanic male driving a black Toyota Four Runner. At the intersection of South Gessner and Beechnut, the suspect pulled along side of the victim's vehicle and fired a weapon striking Bedolla in the head.

The suspect is only described as a Hispanic male driving an older model black Toyota Four Runner.
