Update on Incident at 1041 Elberta

February 26, 2007 -- Houston police have identified the body of a woman found at 1041 Elberta about 7:40 a.m. on Friday (February 23).

The victim, Stacia Lachell Edwards, 26, of 5039 Arvilla Lane, suffered multiple stab wounds and died at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.H. Binford and Officer R.A. Swainson reported:

A juvenile male walking to the bus stop saw the body of the deceased woman in the backyard of a vacant house at 1041 Elberta. He told a friend and they returned to the house before they alerted a passing patrol vehicle.
