Incident at 6600 West Sam Houston Parkway
February 5, 2007 -- Houston
police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6600 West
Sam Houston Parkway service road about 5 a.m. on Friday (Feb.
2).
The identity of the male victim, 32, is pending
verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office.
He suffered gunshot wounds to the chest and died at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W.P. Booth and
Officer A.D. Brown reported:
Witnesses reported hearing two gunshots and then
saw the victim's vehicle crash into a concrete retaining wall.
Investigators originally believed the victim died as a result
of the accident, however, upon closer examination found the victim
had been shot. Following the crash, a dark colored Chevrolet Impala
pulled up to the accident scene, looked into the victim's car
and sped away.
