Update on Traffic Incident at 10200 Gulf Freeway December 21, 2007 - Houston police have learned the identity of the victim of a fatal traffic accident in the 10200 block of the Gulf Freeway (Interstate 45 South) believed to have happened about 7 a.m. on Thursday (Dec. 20). The Harris County Medical Examiner’s office said dental records were used to identify the victim as Traveon LeBlanc, 12, of 1221 Redford #308-C. HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant G.T. Hall and Officer A.N. The freeway mainlanes were closed for several hours. Traveon’s mother reported him missing late Thursday evening and said he was last seen earlier that day (about 7 a.m.) when she dropped him off at a school bus stop in front of the Bristol Apartments at 1221 Redford. Late this afternoon (Dec. 21), HPD investigators received a call from the Medical Examiner’s office indicating the remains of the victim had been identified and next of kin had been notified.
