Update on Incident at 4115 Blue Grass August 13, 2007 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of one man and wounding of another at 4115 Blue Grass about 9:20 p.m. on July 30. Thomas Abraham Arana III (b/m, DOB: 2-26-85), is charged with capital murder in the 263rd State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Marcus Scott, 32, of 4115 Blue Grass, who suffered a gunshot wound to the upper back and was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim, Jonathan Mann, 30, suffered a gunshot wound to the lower jaw and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in stable condition and is expected to recover. HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Dillingham and T. Huynh reported: Scott and Mann were conducting a drug transaction when they were both shot by Arana, who fled in a champagne or brown-colored Buick LeSabre or Century with an out-of-state license plate. According to witnesses the motive for the shooting was drug related. On Friday (August 10), Homicide investigators arrested Arana at his residence without incident.
