Incident at 4300 Wiley

October 22, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4300 Wiley about 8:10 p.m. on Saturday (October 21).

The victim, Roman Eugene Reed, 22, of 1009 Redondo, suffered a gunshot wound
and died at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Newcomb and Officer A. Mares reported:

Two groups of males were fighting in the 4300 block of Wiley over a set of rims. After a prolonged fight, the first group of males ran from the location while the second group followed them in a vehicle. A suspect in the vehicle fired a handgun striking the victim, who collapsed and died.

All the suspects are described as black males. Two of them are possibly known as 'E' and 'Super Dave.' They were seen leaving in a four-door white Ford Taurus, possibly with tinted windows.
