Update on Incident at 9475 West Sam Houston Parkway
October 15, 2006 -- Houston
police have arrested a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of
two men at 9475 West Sam Houston Parkway about 6:15 p.m. on September
12.
The suspect, Shannon Wayne Landry (b/m, DOB 8-1-80),
is charged with capital murder in the 338th State District Court.
He is accused in the shooting deaths of two men, William Parker,
39, of 9797 Leawood and Ronald Wayne Gantz, 33, of 9800 Club Creek.
Members of the HPD SWAT and Southeast Warrant
Execution Teams arrested Landry
in the 9300 block of the Gulf Freeway on October 14 without incident.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M.D. Newcomb and B.P. Evans reported:
Officers responded to a disturbance call stating
that possible shots had been fired at 9475 West Sam Houston Parkway.
Officers arrived and found the victims lying on the ground near
an apartment building. Both men had apparent gunshot wounds and
were pronounced dead at the scene.
