Traffic Incident at 2700 Addicks Howell
November 27, 2006 -- Houston
police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 2700 Addicks
Howell (South Highway 6) at 14500 Richmond on November 26, 2005
at 9:40 p.m.
HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant
P. Casares and Officer J. Vega reported:
Witnesses stated that the driver of a truck went
on the right shoulder of traffic going southbound on Highway 6
and ran the red light at Richmond. The truck struck a car that
was traveling west on Richmond, which caused the truck to burst
into flames. The adult male passenger in the truck was pronounced
dead at the scene. A citizen pulled the driver out of the burning
truck. The driver of the car was ejected from his vehicle. Both
drivers were taken to Memorial Herman Hospital via life flight
in critical condition.
