Incident at 14600 Goldfarb

November 18, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 14600 Goldfarb about 3:30 a.m. today (Nov. 18).

The victim, Corey Pattum, 29, of 10215 Beechnut, suffered a gunshot wound and
was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. McStravick and O. Belmarez and Officer T.
Andrade reported:

Corey Pattum was helping a friend serve food at a mobile barbecue stand near a nightclub. As the business closed, Pattum sat in the front seat of his vehicle, when unknown suspect (s) approached and shot him. Witnesses reported seeing a dark newer model 4-door vehicle, possibly a Chevy Impala, drive away from the scene.
