Traffic Incident at Eastex Freeway at North Loop

November 13, 2006 --Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident on Interstate 59 North at the 610 North Loop about 9:15 a.m. today (Nov. 13).

The victim is identified as Chun Shing Tsui, 63.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant L.A. Washington and Officers R. Saenz and J. Nickell reported:

Mr. Tsui was driving a 2005 GMC Budget rental box truck north on the Eastex reeway towards the I-610 Loop exit ramp when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed through the guardrail on the exit ramp. The truck landed on the ground below, killing Tsui. No other vehicles were involved in the accident. The cargo truck was loaded with about 500, 40-pound boxes of frozen poultry.
