Update on Incident at 16740 Hedgecroft

November 8, 2006 -- Charges are pending against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a woman found at 16740 Hedgecroft on March 26, 2006.

The suspect, Vellar Clark (b/m, DOB 2-12-75), is accused in the killing of Gwen Sneed, 29, of 5814 Whitewell. Clark was arrested at his residence on Tuesday (November 7).

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant G. Gonzales and Officers C. Park and R. Martinez reported:

A security officer found Ms. Sneed near a loading dock while conducting security checks around the business district. The female, who was near a motorcycle, had suffered an apparent gunshot wound and looked like she had been there for several hours.
