Incident at 16740 Hedgecroft

March 27, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the apparent fatal shooting of a woman found at 16740 Hedgecroft about 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2006.

The identity of the victim, 29, is pending notification to next of kin.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant G. Gonzales and Officer C. Park reported:

A security officer found the victim near a loading dock while conducting security checks around the business district. The female, who was near a motorcycle, had suffered an apparent gunshot wound and looked like she had been there for several hours.
