Incident at 900 N. York
March 20, 2006 -- The body of
a male is retrieved from a bayou located at 900 N. York on Sunday,
March 19, 2006 at about 1:40 p.m.
According to Houston Police Department Homicide
Division Sergeant H.R. Hernandez and Officer D.S. Vasquez, HPD
patrol officers were dispatched to 900 N. York to meet with members
of an Equisearch team who discovered the body of a male. The team
was in the area conducting a search for a missing person when
they located the body floating in the bayou.
The HPD Dive team made the scene and recovered
the body, which appeared to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds
to the head. The unidentified male was transported to the Harris
County Medical Examiner's office where an autopsy will determine
the victim's identity and cause of death.
At this time it is unclear if the body recovered
from the bayou is the missing person (Raul Mendoza).
