Update on Incident at 8701 South Braeswood
March 14, 2006 -- A suspect
has been arrested and charged in the fatal shooting of a man at
8701 South Braeswood about 8:10 p.m. on March 3, 2006.
The suspect, Corey Tramane Wright (b/m, DOB 7-22-84),
has been charged with murder in the 182nd State District Court.
He was arrested without incident on Monday (Mar. 13).
HPD Homicide Division Officers B.W. Nabors and
T.S. Tyler reported:
Patrick Robinson, 35, of 8701 South Braeswood
#67, and several friends were in the parking lot of an apartment
complex working on his vehicle. The suspect, Corey Wright, drove
up in a two-door, blue Chevrolet Monte Carlo, exited his vehicle
and began arguing with Robinson. At some point during the altercation,
Wright produced a handgun and shot Robinson in the head. Wright
then returned to his vehicle and fled the scene. Paramedics responded
to the scene and pronounced Robinson dead.
