Incident at 8200 Mykawa
June 20, 2006 -- Houston police
are investigating the death of a man found at 8200 Mykawa about
8 a.m. today (June 20).
The identity of the male victim and the cause
of death are pending an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner's
office.
HPD Homicide Division Officers R.A. Swainson
and J.C. Bonaby reported:
While searching along the sides of the roadway
for scrap metal, a witness discovered the body of a male lying
in a field. HFD paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced
the victim dead. Investigators determined the man's body had been
at the location for several days, which would probably rule out
any relation to the flooding which took place in southeast Houston
yesterday. The male is described as being Hispanic, 25-30 years
of age, about 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds. The
victim was dressed in a blue button down dress shirt, blue jeans
with a brown leather belt. There were no obvious signs of trauma
to the body.
Anyone with information in this case is urged
to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime
Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
