Incident at 4500 Dunlavy
June 7, 2006 -- Houston police
are investigating the fatal stabbing of a juvenile male at 4500
Dunlavy about 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday (June 6).
The victim is identified as Gabriel Granillo,
14, who suffered a stab wound to the chest.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. D. Newcomb
and Officer A. Mares reported:
Three males, who are known members of an area
gang, were at a park at 4500 Dunlavy when anywhere from 20 to
30 males and females, affiliated with another gang, surrounded
them. The large group had weapons consisting of baseball bats,
golf clubs, tire irons and other weapons. During the course of
the fight, the victim was stabbed in the chest by one of the females.
The victim collapsed and died shortly thereafter. The large group
of suspects fled the scene in numerous vehicles.
Investigators are looking for the suspect, described
only as a white female, 16 to 17 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches
tall, 120 pounds, with shoulder length blond hair.
