Incident at 8200 Kenton
July 18, 2006 -- Houston police
are investigating the shooting death of a man at 8200 Kenton about
6:45 a.m. today (July 18).
The victim, Frederick Lee Alexander, 35, of 806
E. 33rd Street, died of apparent gunshot wounds.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W.P. Booth and
Officer A.D. Brown reported:
A Metro Police Department officer was patrolling
Hobert Taylor Park when he discovered the victim's body, with
several gunshot wounds, lying on the ground. Alexander was last
seen near a club at the corner of Blue and Eastland, after midnight,
where he apparently had an argument with a group of males. Investigators
believe he may have been shot at another location and his body
dumped at the park.
