Incident at 1900 Brooks

July 10, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 1900 Brooks about 3:45 a.m. today (July 10).

The victim's identity is unknown at this time. He suffered a gunshot wound to the head.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. W. McStravick and C. W. Howard reported:

Officers responded to a discharging firearms call and discovered a vehicle parked at the location with its trunk opened. The body of the victim was found inside the trunk. An unknown type of vehicle was seen leaving the scene. At this time, there are no known suspects in this case.
