Incident at 11911 Martin Luther King Boulevard
July 3, 2006 -- Houston Police
Department homicide investigators are investigating the capital
murder of an adult male and the wounding of another male that
occurred at 11911 Martin Luther King Boulevard at 4:20 p.m. on
July 2, 2006.

S. Kennedy and Officer I. Flores, Jr. report:
On July 2, 2005, at approximately 4:20 p.m.,
the victim, Kerre Dusean Jones (b/m 7-27-78) was inside apartment
# 8054 when a group of male suspects came to the apartment apparently
to transact a narcotics deal. During this meeting, one or more
suspects pulled weapons and shot Jones in the neck. Jones was
pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect(s) then removed some
cash from Jones' pockets before leaving with a large bag of marijuana.
A second male, unidentified at this time, was also shot during
this incident. This individual, whose role in the incident is
still undetermined, was transported to Ben Taub Hospital where
he underwent surgery for his injuries.
The suspect(s), identified only as black males,
left the location in a 1999-2001 Dodge Intrepid vehicle that is
gold in color and has tinted windows.
