January 27, 2006 -- Investigators assigned to the Houston Police Department's Gang Murder Squad announced today the arrests of eight of 11 suspects believed linked to nine murders in the city's southwest side and two others in Pasadena since November 2005.

Investigators are asking for the public's help in providing information on the whereabouts of the three suspects not in custody. They are identified as Ivroy Harris, a.k.a. "B-Stupid" (b/m, DOB 5-18-85), Travis Jordan (b/m, DOB 9-21-84) and Terrence Richards (b/m, DOB 5-5-85). Harris is charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping in the 339th State District Court. Jordan is charged with aggravated robbery and Richards is charged with evading detention in a Webster PD case.

The Gang Murder Squad was recently created to investigate various homicides in Houston believed related to gang activity. As part of that objective, investigators assigned to the squad analyzed some cases in the southwest Houston area and began to realize many of them were connected, whether it be by victims, suspects, or other means. The cases connected thus far happen to involve Louisiana suspects relocated to Houston following Hurricane Katrina. Investigators have learned these individuals were associated with two different gangs in New Orleans and were relocated here to Houston at various locations where they continued the rivalry.

The following suspects are in custody and charged: Kalvin Forcell (b/m, DOB 9-14-84) is charged with murder in a fatal shooting at 9373 Richmond Avenue on November 20, 2005. Alvin Sims (b/m, DOB 5-27-85) is charged with capital murder in a fatal shooting of two Louisiana men at 8901 Bissonnet on December 31, 2005. Jason McMaster (b/m, DOB 9-22-81) is charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping. Cornelius Gordon (b/m, DOB 3-5-84) is charged with engaging in organized crime and possession of a weapon. Daryl Robinson (b/m, DOB 9-10-78) is charged with murder in a fatal shooting at 11555 Bissonnet on December 25, 2005. Tyler Mackyeon (b/m, DOB 12-31-82) is charged with deadly conduct and aggravated robbery, James Taylor (b/m, DOB 6-6-81) is charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, Keith Ron Williams (b/m, DOB 9-23-85) is charged with assault-family violence.
