Traffic Incident at 1700 Parker Road

January 1, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal accident at 1700 Parker Road on December 31, 2005 about 6:45 p.m.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant R. Gonzales and Officer R. Stafford reported:

A white Ford Explorer was traveling eastbound on Parker Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crossed the median. The Ford went into a ditch on the westbound side and rolled over, then struck a light pole, hit a cyclone fence and then a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A witness told police that prior to the accident the Ford was weaving in and out of traffic without the headlights being on.
