Incident at 10950 Briar Forest

February 17, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the death of a baby at 10950 Briar Forest about 2 a.m. today (Feb. 17).

The four-month-old boy is identified as Ashlon Carter of 10950 Briar Forest #320. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. McStravick and Officer I. F. Flores Jr. reported:

The baby was placed in his crib earlier that night. When the mother went to feed him in the early morning hours, she found him unresponsive. The mother contacted 911 while the father performed CPR. The cause of death will be determined by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.
