Incident at 5711 Westward #176
February 17, 2006 -- Charges
have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting
of a woman about 11:45 a.m. on Thursday (Feb. 16).
The suspect, Esequiel
Villareal (H/m, DOB 12/02/66), is charged with murder in the
184th State District Court and is still at-large. Investigators
believe the suspect, who was released from prison in May of 2005
for an unrelated murder charge, may be in the process of fleeing
to Mexico in a 1989 Nissan Maxima with Texas license plates 909-JKR.
The victim is identified as Bendicata Gonzalez,
35, of 5711 Westward #176. She suffered multiple gunshot wounds
and was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.W. Belk and
Officer M.J. Miller reported:
Villareal, the estranged husband of Bendicata
Gonzalez, shot her on the walkway in front of her apartment in
the presence of her 15-year-old son.
