Update on Incident at 4700 Kelley

February 17, 2006 -- Houston police have learned the identity of a female found dead at 4700 Kelley about 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2006.

The female has been identified as Vanessa B. Franklin, 45, address unknown. Investigators observed trauma to her body and believe she was murdered, but the cause of death is currently pending an autopsy.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. T. Wyers and Officer T. S. Tyler reported:

Officers responded to a vacant lot at Wipprecht and Kelley Street after a witness discovered the body of Vanessa Franklin. Investigators interviewed several witnesses, but have no suspect description at this time.
