Update on Incident at 14250 Kimberley
February 14, 2006 -- Charges
have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting
of a man at 14250 Kimberly about 5:40 p.m. on February 5.
The suspect, Tekari
Midkiff (b/m, DOB 3-24-86), who goes by the street name of
"Too Low," is charged with murder in the 182nd State
District Court. He is wanted in the killing of Thomas Stutes,
48, of 8000 Cook.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.D. Newcomb and
Officer T. Huynh reported:
Witnesses said the victim was being chased by
two black males in the Kensington Court Apartment complex when
he was shot three times and collapsed in front of apartment #349.
The shooter is described as a dark complected
black male, 19 to 24 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 140
to 160 pounds. The suspect was wearing a black do-rag on his head,
a white shirt with a black shirt underneath it, and blue jeans.
The second suspect is described as a black male, 18 to 20 years
old, and 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing
a red and white jersey with numbering on it, and blue jeans.
Investigators believe both suspects might live
in close proximity to the apartment complex. They also believe
suspect Midkiff is possibly involved in other crimes in the Houston
area.

the wanted suspect, Tekari Midkiff, is urged to contact the HPD
