Incident at 10110 Forum Park

December 12, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 10110 Forum Park about 1:50 p.m. on Monday (Dec. 11).

The victim, Frederick Jasper Porter, 22, sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was pronounced
dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W.J. Anthony and Officer D.W. Arnold reported:

Witnesses reported seeing a group of black males fighting in the parking lot of the apartment complex. An unidentified black male suspect pulled a handgun and shot Mr. Porter once as he stood next to his vehicle and several more times as Porter sat inside of that vehicle. The suspect and the other males fled the scene on foot and possibly in a maroon or burgundy Ford Thunderbird of Taurus bearing a Texas license plate beginning with 511.

The shooter is described as a black male in his early 20s, 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds.
