Incident at 3400 Gulf Freeway

Department homicide investigators are investigating the shooting
of two juvenile males that occurred at 3400 Gulf Freeway at 12:35
a.m. on August 27, 2006.

report:
On August 27, 2006, at approximately 12:35 a.m.,
patrol officers were called to the 3400 block of the Gulf Freeway
regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered two juvenile
males had been shot. Both victims were transported to Memorial
Hermann Hospital and were listed in stable condition. The suspects
fled the scene on foot prior to the arrival of officers.
Investigators have determined that two groups
of juveniles had been fighting when one black male suspect produced
a handgun and began shooting. After discharging several rounds,
the suspect fled on foot northbound on the Gulf Freeway.
